The Civil Construction Laboure r is responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites for the erection of structures and towers. Unloads and loads materials, reads plans and specifications, tends machines, mixes concrete, pours concrete, and assists carpenters, operating engineers, and other construction site workers.

Core Functions

  • Performing all general ground duties associated with tower construction, rigging, road building, rebar installation, form setting, pour/vibrate/finish concrete, backfill and compact foundation, install electrical grounding systems, conduit and trenching, industrial fence installation, restoration, and cleanup
  • Work with a variety of hand tools, power tools and equipment used in construction.
  • Able to travel within the province for extended periods
  • Photo documentation of the site as it develops
  • Maintain and care for all issued tools, equipment, and vehicles in an operational condition at all times Comply with CVOR regulations and requirements

Required

  • Adherence to safety standards, working knowledge of all safety & quality control requirements, fall protection practices, regulations, and procedures for crew
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend and lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be available to travel up to one week or more as needed
  • Communicate and interact effectively with crew members
  • Reliability is key to the establishment and must be followed in all procedural steps of the company.
  • Motivated to learn and grow in the telecommunications industry

Recommended

  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • Able to read drawings
  • Job-related certifications-safety, rescue, CPR,
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Valid A-Restricted, DZ or AZ driver’s license
  • Operation of excavating equipment
  • Comply with CVOR regulations
