The Client Relations Account Manager will be a part of the Client Relations team, playing an integral part in effectively merging Private Label customer requirements with Elmira Pet Products capabilities, policies, and procedures.

The role : Reporting to the Client Relations Department Manager, The Client Relations Account Manager will develop effective partnership activities built on clear communication, exceptional customer service, mutual success, and teamwork. Strong analytical and people skills required to support business planning and achieve growth objectives.

What you'll do :

  • Advance customer relationships, with key influencers.
  • Execute regular meetings with customer contacts (limited travel required) to refresh on business conditions (sales performance, etc.), while identifying opportunities. Attain agreement on action items and timelines.
  • Promptly follow-up internally and externally to reach positive outcomes quickly.
  • Achieve customer consensus of short
  • and long-range business plans that are consistent with EPP objectives and KPI targets.
  • Use effective communication and time management skills to engage EPP cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Align on realistic annual budgets for sales targets and spend. Provide customers with sales results vs. objectives (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Inform EPP stakeholders of forecast adjustments from promo activity, planogram changes, lists/delists, store openings/closings and other related activities.
  • Monitor sales vs. forecast. Make concrete recommendations to fill gaps and maximize opportunities.
  • Manage customer spend/deductions to budget. Promptly execute steps for reclamation as required.
  • Coordinate all action items relating to new product launches, product changes, sku rationalization, etc. to maximize total sales and nullify financial liabilities. Overall responsibility for successfully implementing the change to the expectation of all parties.
  • Support the execution of price adjustments including all administrative activities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Customer Terms & Conditions summary.
  • External (customer): Educate on the merits of EPP and share updates.
  • Internal (EPP teams): Educate on the merits of the customer and share updates.
  • Track, measure and communicate competitive retail activity including pricing, merchandising and new products.
  • Pinpoint threats and measure potential impact to EPP sales targets and/or KPI performance.
  • Other duties as needed.

What you'll have :

  • Degree or Diploma in Business or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in B2B sales environment preferably in grocery, mass, or pet speciality channels.
  • Analytical and very proficient in using MS Office with emphasis on Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pet food and manufacturing industry an asset.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Highly organized with above average time management skills.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written skills.
  • Collaborator and active listener who easily interacts with others.
  • Strong work ethic resulting in high productivity.
  • Experience and familiarity with QAD an asset.
  • GSI experience is beneficial.
