Advantages As Material Assistant, your advantages are below and not limited to: Great Company Engaging work culture Growth opportunities Accessible by transit Long term contract Responsibilities As the Material Assistant, you provide efficient operational and administrative coordination and assistance to the raw material quality team, supporting the team’s effort to ensure material quality standards and requirements are consistently met. You coordinate the flow and process of approval for the first bulk yardage of the new colored material across internal and external stakeholders. You support the raw material quality team in implementing the seasonal test plans by communicating the test plans to the vendors and labs, tracking the testing progress, and data entry. You maintain physical files of raw materials for testing, QC cards, sample library and ongoing issues. Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future: Spectro measurement and data entry for historical color standards and data. Supporting the RM-Q team in updating the current manuals and standards. Supporting the RM-Q team in onboarding the vendors to our new tools and processes. Qualifications You have 1+ years’ experience in coordinator position, administrative assistant or similar role, with post-secondary education in office administration or a similar field an asset You have previous experience or education in Textile industry You have strong verbal and written English communication skills. You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You have good problem-solving skills and the grit to persevere through challenging issues. You have experience working in a diverse, cross-cultural team. You operate with honesty and integrity.
