Job position: Operating Engineer Job type: Full-time, perm Shift : Continental Rotation (5:45-5:45) Days and Nights Primary Responsibilities Maintain a high level of safety and environmental standards. Assist the Shift Engineer with operation of a TSSA certified 2 nd class steam plant, a 200MT acid production process, and a 960kW steam turbine cogeneration plant. Complete bulk acid loading/unloading into trucks and railcars. Perform lab testing to sustain process water quality and effluent systems. Become proficient and competent in all aspects of site operations including packaging processes. Effectively communicate with customers, contractors, and neighboring facilities as required. Provide support to the Shift Engineer and maintenance staff as required. Uphold 5S housekeeping practices. Work a rotating, continental day/night shift schedule. Required Qualifications Valid TSSA 4 th Class Operating Engineer’s ticket or progress towards certification Preferred Qualifications Completion of a post-secondary Power Engineering program or equivalent 2-3 years relevant work experience Experience in chemical manufacturing.
