We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Elmira, Ontario. This role is central to our finance team and involves handling a full cycle of accounts payable tasks. Responsibilities:• Efficiently handle the receipt, coding, and distribution of invoices received via email.• Conduct regular check runs and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments.• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate record keeping.• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks including splitting charges to different departments based on usage, managing existing spreadsheets, and implementing functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.• Set up new vendors • Conduct follow-ups with managers and supervisors regarding invoice approvals.• Prepare and enter journal entries related to accounts payable.• Manage the process of matching purchase order (PO) and non-PO invoices.
