We are a thriving Optometric Clinic co-owned by two experienced optometrists, located in the beautiful town of Elora, Ontario. We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Optician or Optometric Assistant.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in frame selection and managing spectacle orders
- Greet patients, answer phone calls and book appointments
- Perform eyeglass adjustments and repairs
- Pre-test and image patients prior to their exam
- Provide instruction on contact lens insertion, removal, and care practices
- Process payments, produce insurance claims, and maintain health records
- Update and maintain content for our website and social media channels
Qualifications:
- Experience in the optical industry (especially in sales and dispensing) is preferred
- Administrative assistant or receptionist experience for at least 1 year is preferred
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with fellow team members and patients
- Professional, responsible and reliable
