Our client is looking for Intermediate Quantitative Data Analyst to conduct quantitative data analysis and management in support of long term load forecasting.-4 months contract (likely will extend), Hybrid or Remote within BCRequirements:5+years of strategic data analysis experience 2+ years’ experience in quantitative analysis5+ years’ experience with excel skillsExcellent English skills for professional environment, written and spokenAcademic backgrounds in Math, statistics, economics, or engineering.Nice to have:Experience with Tableau and SASResponsibilities:Produce long term energy and demand forecasts that are foundational to our revenue requirements, long term resource plans, capital plans and customer initiatives. \Produce load forecast variance reports, developing 20 year electricity and peak demand forecasts for select communitiesResponsible for quantitative analysis. Responsibilities for data management and analysis in support of our load forecast scenarios.Implement improvements to temperature normalization process.Translate business insights into strategic, actionable options by obtaining and organizing key business information, enabling informed decision-making.Facilitate decision-making across diverse groups of stakeholders by using excellent skills in communication, critical thinking, and persuasive influencing to deliver recommendations that align to the business goals.Maintain meaningful business relationships by prioritizing strategic considerations in a complex environment with diverse groups of stakeholders so that projects are implemented as planned.Plan and organize business initiatives by using knowledge in business drivers, risk tolerance, and trade-off processes, to enable successful integration and adoption in BC Hydro’s complex and regulated environment.Training and support will be provided by internal team
