Job summary : Reporting to the Operations Director, the Project Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating the material, financial, labor and transportation needs for the smooth running of projects. He is responsible for the quality of the projects delivered by the team.

Your day will look like this :

  • In collaboration with the project office team, participate in the preparation of studies, plans and specifications of the projects
  • Prepare the implementation of the different phases of the projects schedules: develop both the work plan, budget, resources allocation, timing and estimated deliveries
  • Participate in kick off meetings and post-mortem
  • Ensure the integration and synchronization of the various team involved
  • In collaboration with the Operations Manager, participate in the establishment of performance measures, gives guidance as part of their daily activities on the project sites
  • Perform various monitored project processes and make the associated reporting (actual and anticipated costs, timing, deliverables, risks, other if applicable)
  • Monitor the change notices
  • Establish and maintain communication links with customers, general contractors, architects and act as a liaison officer (inform the client of any anomaly or unexpected in the context of the project, official correspondence, monitoring deliverables, meeting, minutes, etc.)
  • Ensure the administrative management of files
  • In collaboration with the controller of the division, perform constant monitoring of the budget and present a periodically job cost
  • Ensure that the required quality standards as stipulated in the contract documents are applied
  • Obtain all required approvals of organizations and ministries for the implementation of projects
  • Ensure the health and safety on sites through training and prevention
  • Other related tasks

Your profile :

  • University or College degree in project management or in a related field.
  • Work experience: 5-10 years of experience in the Audiovisual industry.
  • Have a PMP certification (an asset)
  • Have a CTS certification (an asset)
  • Able to comply to INFOCOM standards and guidelines for AV installation
  • Expertise on construction sites (Health & Safety meetings, inspections, OHS prevention, etc.)
  • Knowledge of project management tools
  • Excellent knowledge of Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team
  • Able to act as a system designer before installation on site (an asset)
  • Experience with system design and AutoCAD (an asset)
  • Hold the ASP Construction Training
  • Ability to travel on different sites
  • Basic knowledge of the audiovisual field (an asset)
  • Fluency in both official languages at a high level, both oral and written
