Responsibilities What your day will look likeTechnical Activities & AdministrationLead a variety of transportation/traffic planning and design projects involving traffic analysis, parking reviews, road safety audits, signage and pavement marking reviews, neighbourhood traffic management, and transportation demand managementSupport Dillon’s leading technical staff in project delivery for a variety of public and private sector clientsProvide technical expertise on a variety of projects as part of multidisciplinary teams (including planners, project engineers, environmental scientists, technologists)Contribute to proposals and support other marketing and administrative effortsLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentContribute to the career development of supporting staff, including technical direction, coaching, and mentoringContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees Qualifications A degree in civil engineering or urban planning, or a diploma in civil engineering technology, with a transportation focusAt least 5 years’ professional experienceQualified to practise in Ontario as a Professional Engineer, Registered Professional Planner or Certified Engineering Technologist, or eligible to be qualified within six months Experience The appropriate candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong interest and knowledge in some, or all, of the following areas:Transportation impact studiesParking studiesRoad safety studiesTraffic calming studiesWarrant analysis for traffic control devicesWorking knowledge of intersection performance software: Synchro, SIDRAActive transportation and transportation demand management (TDM) programsProficient use of AutoCAD.Well-developed report writing, organization and interpersonal skills.Why choose DillonDillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
