D’Arcy’s Meat Market is hiring a Chef and Production Team Lead for our St. Albert location. We are looking for an exceptional new team member who is excited and passionate about the local food scene in Edmonton and Alberta! You would be required to provide direction to the meat cutters, sausage makers, and cooks as well as work alongside them to meet order deadlines, cook the food, fill the showcases, and lead by example. This job is perfect for a leader who prefers working on the production floor with mínimal time in the office.

  • A great knowledge of the foodservice industry, ability to create recipes, strong cooking and food prep skills.
  • An inclusive leadership style, raising up the team, and promoting work life balance.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and provincial public health policy.
  • A minimum of 2 years management/team lead experience
  • A recognized Culinary Arts Certificate or Diploma and/or Chef's Red Seal or a minimum of 3 years cooking experience
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • A minimum of Grade 10 English and Grade 10 Math.
  • Experience as a meat cutter or meat cutting certificate will be considered an asset.

Salary :

  • The position is full time. Salary is $52000 - $72800 depending on experience/education. Minimum 40 hours per week are required. 25% off staff discount and other perks are available/negotiable. Health Spending Account for qualifying team members.
