Job Type : full time, permanent (40.0 hours weekly & provide vacation coverage, when required ) Salary : $17 - $22, hourly - based on experience Location : 200 Boudreau Rd, St. Albert, AB, T8N 6B9

About Summit Family Clinic : Located on the north side of St. Albert, our busy community-based family clinic is committed to delivering compassionate care. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Office Assistant to join our dynamic team!

Position overview & key responsibilities :

  • Perform desk related tasks such as scheduling and modifying appointments, answering phone lines, processing forms and payments, and greeting patients.
  • Manage patient charts, including scanning documents, verifying demographics, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Handle sensitive medical information in compliance with regulations and protocols.
  • Conduct active tasks such as collecting patient vitals, escorting patients to exam rooms, and assisting in minor medical procedures.
  • Prepare and stock exam rooms, maintain autoclave equipment, and manage inventory of medical supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with cold-chain management protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Computer & Technology :

  • EMR experience, proficiency with Telus CHR is an asset
  • Office 365 Suite

Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities :

  • Ability to stand and or sit all day (8 hours)
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs

Education & Experience :

  • Completion of recognized Medical Office Assistant certificate program
  • Chaperone certificate is preferred
  • BLS & first aid certificate is an asset
  • Minimum three years’ experience in medical clinic operation or equivalent combination of education and experience
