Known for providing its employees with a supportive and challenging atmosphere, fostering growth and personal development, IMP Aerostructures has an immediate opening for a motivated individual to join its winning team!Position Overview:Reporting to the Vice President, General Manager based at our facility in Amherst, Nova Scotia, you will lead an experienced team of professionals in our Production, Procurement and Engineering Departments, focused on driving efficiency and productivity targets that meet or exceed budget expectations and customer deliverables. What You Will Do: Drive the success of a cross functional team. Engage Senior Leadership in Continuous Improvement projects and implement Lean Manufacturing strategies that will drive operational excellence, increase capacity, and reduce costs. Lead the evolution of business process, implementing Industry 4.0 Improvement initiatives across all disciplines. Assess manufacturing operations, and identify innovative strategies that increase production efficiency, eliminate waste, reduce inventory, reduce lead-times, and increase overall quality and delivery performance. Cultivate a culture of employee engagement and safety, ensuring that industry best practices are applied. Support business decisions and performance management through analysis of data while leveraging key performance indicators to monitor progress. Actively prepare and monitor budgets, targeting areas for cost reduction and the maximization of materials and supplies. Analyze the current development structure of the workforce, identifying and addressing skills gaps to maximize performance in all areas. Support in the annual strategic planning process. Other duties as assigned. What You Will Bring: University degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a senior operations management role. Experience in the Aerospace and / or Manufacturing Industries preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate results. Must possess advanced computer skills including MS Office and Microsoft Project Strong people management, communication, and customer service skills Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills. Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian controlled goods program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government security clearances.
