Senior Accountant - Food Manufacturing - Up to 100K

Our client, a Canadian company specializing in the Food Manufacturing industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Montreal team. Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Greater Montreal (Hybrid) Salary: Up to 100K depending on experience Duration: Temporary to Permanent Are you interested in joining a dynamic team of professionals? Advantages - A positive work environment - Hybrid (3 days a week in the Montreal office) - Opportunities for advancement and professional development. - A competitive salary, an annual bonus, full benefits coverage and pension plan from your start date. - 40h/week Responsibilities Reporting to the Controller and in collaboration with the finance team, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the company's financial and operational capital by participating in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports. Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. - Ensure compliance with current accounting and tax standards. - Collaborate with external auditors in the preparation of audits. - Analyze financial trends and make recommendations to improve profitability. - Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. - Supervise and mentor the accounting team. - All other related tasks Qualifications - CPA, a major asset - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role - Ability to take initiative - Be Bilingual (French and English) and have excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong work ethic and attention to detail - Demonstrate leadership - Advanced Excel (Search V, Pivot Tables) Summary Contact me if you are interested in this position or if you are looking for a job opportunity in Finance/Accounting. - Send me an email anytime at veronique.hoang@randstad.ca Randstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
