Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of full cycle accounting operations, including financial transactions and reportingCollaborate with clients, internal team members and relationship managers to ensure high-quality Indigenous EASE engagementsMonitor and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting, including compliance with regulatory standardsCoordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, including variance reportsSupport month-end and year-end closing processesPrepare and publish timely, accurate and compliant financial statements and Indigenous EASE related reportsAssist with new EASE engagements by providing the required information for client setup and deliverable creationMaintain and update charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accountsPrepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlightsDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team membersMaintain flexibility to travel to client sites Skills and Experience CPA designation (CAFM designation considered an asset)Experience working with full-cycle accounting processesKnowledge of Sage 300, Sage Intacct, Adagio, Xyntax, QBO or Xero considered an assetExperience working with Indigenous communities or organizations preferredExtensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
