Job Title: Project Manager (Construction)Salary: Junior; $55-65kIntermediate; $65-75kOur company specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of miscellaneous metals and structural steel for the construction industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dedicated team.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Manager, you will be an integral part of our management team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination both internally and externally. Your primary responsibilities will include:Managing all phases of the project life cycle.Coordinating with Production Managers to oversee shop drawings and fabrication processes.Collaborating with the buyer to procure all necessary materials.Working with the Office Manager to handle all contract and project documentation.Interfacing with General Contractor’s Project Managers and foremen to ensure smooth project execution.Overseeing installation and ensuring timely project completion.Required SkillsThe ideal candidate will possess:Extensive knowledge of the construction industry and project management principles.In-depth understanding of miscellaneous metal and structural steel projects. Must haveAbility to read, interpret, and understand architectural and structural drawings for material take-off, estimation, and shop drawing preparation.Proficiency in current construction practices, methods, and materials.Familiarity with building codes and standards related to structural steel and miscellaneous metals.Working knowledge of AUTOCAD (preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.Candidate ProfileTo succeed in this role, you must:Exhibit excellent communication skills, with fluency in both French and English.Demonstrate exceptional planning and organizational abilities.Be highly motivated, proactive, and eager to tackle new challenges.Have direct experience managing miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects, either within a specialized sub-trade or with a general contractor.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree preferred, though post-secondary education with substantial industry experience will be considered.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry is required.Employment TypeThis is a full-time position.
