Summary of Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a energetic, hard-working Kiefel & Regrind Operator and back-up Blow Film/Overpouch MH to work a permanent full-time position on the Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 15:00-23:00)** at our Alliston facility.

The Kiefel & Regrind Operator operates the Weigh Blender and PVC Grinder. Perform all necessary Q.A. checks and documentation for the Weigh Blender and PVC Grinder as required. Assist Kiefel department with regrind activities as necessary. Backup Kiefel & Sub-assembly

Due to the nature of our business, Baxter follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which requires our employees to focus on cleanliness and contamination control. Other aspects of GMP that must be observed are no makeup or jewelry in the production areas

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate the Weigh Blender and PVC grinder in a safe manner.
  • Perform QA inspections and complete documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to support release of product.
  • Troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments to produce a quality product in an efficient manner.
  • Use of computer to enter shop floor data & order raw materials necessary.
  • Maintain all necessary production paperwork ensuring materials used correspond with B.O.M.
  • Transport raw materials and finished products following safe lifting guidelines and utilize lift devices and material handling equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)
  • Fast-paced environment, high pressure
  • Experience doing repetitive tasks
  • Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
  • Experience in food or manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated good attendance in present position.
  • Demonstrated good performance & good quality in present position.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
  • Experience in Trouble shooting mechanical problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to document data correctly per CA GPP 80.
  • Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter Specifications / SOP’s and determine apropriate corrective actions.
  • Equipment used: Extruder, 4 wheel trolleys, walkie & manual jacks, Q.A. tools and gauges, cutter, coiler, and computer

The Back up position : The Blow Film/Overpouch MH assumes the responsibility for operating Blown film to manufacture roll stock, as well as operating either the Amplas or the Altair to seal the roll stock into overpouch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform and document FOB, LOB and ongoing QA checks.
  • Ensure equipment is operating within parameters.
  • Load rolls onto overpouch machine.
  • Observe operation to ensure machines are functioning according to specifications and make all necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect pouch and place in tote boxes
  • Stack finished roll stock on pallets
  • Initiate Resource Identification tickets, enter required data, and attach to containers/material.
  • Requisition/change dies and make minor repairs and perform set up as required
  • Move stock into designated areas.
  • Schedule cut pouch for Viaflex filling, and blown Film required

Job Requirements
