POSITION OVERVIEW : Your success will be defined by your ability to :

  • Assist in leading the region’s safety culture, developing the proper attitudes, practices and measuring the results of the company’s safety performance to corporate on a monthly basis.
  • Anticipate and identify organizational change initiatives required to support the business strategy.
  • Developing and implementing Branch policies that ensure effective completion of area functions in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Set up appropriate planning of personnel and/or equipment.
  • Schedules assignments and coordinates activities for hauling equipment, drivers, and crews.
  • Utilize fleet management system for planning, tracking, and organizing equipment and manpower.
  • Assess, manage, and motivate all direct reports with a strong emphasis on planning, organization, preparation, follow up and communication.
  • Partake in overseeing the regions budgeting process, holding functional areas accountable for achieving or exceeding budgeted results, and allocation capital that reflects the strategic direction of the region.
  • Assists with personnel decisions including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.
  • Works closely with purchasing, and sales departments to maintain effective customer service requirements.
  • Conducts performance appraisals as required. Formulates and implements employee corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure the division has proper maintenance programs in place and are tracked to protect the company’s investment in its equipment.
  • Maintain client relations.

SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Related training preferred or a technical diploma/degree.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience holding a similar role in an oilfield transportation setting.
  • Strong understanding of heavy haul equipment, capabilities, and standards.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and systems.
  • Well organized with strong planning and management skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues importance to the business.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, an ability to look at situations from multiple points of views.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture when providing solutions to your team in the branch and customers.
