Duties and responsibilities :

  • Log and manage support requests in the appropriate systems and ensure that the appropriate internal and customer follow-up is performed within the published or agreed timelines.
  • Understand various rules for determining prevailing wage for the workers for various states/provinces and implement and manage solutions to support the prevailing wage and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and support interfaces that process timesheets into payroll systems such as Workday.
  • Monitor weekly payroll activities and special payroll schedules.
  • Proactive monitoring of jobs and data that might impact payroll.
  • Design, develop and support various inbound and outbound batch jobs in Informatica.
  • Manage connections with various ERP systems in the organization.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues, working towards the resolution at first level within a timely manner or work with your manager or team members to reassign to the appropriate resource or group.
  • May reproduce technical issues that customers report in a test environment to troubleshoot and resolve.
  • Extensive knowledge of program development and analysis of capabilities designed to resolve business requirements utilizing Oracle products and tools.
  • Ability to influence and set technical direction.
  • Recognize upstream and downstream impacts; and communicate effectively (verbally and in writing).
  • Work on the Oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL objects like functions, procedures, packages, triggers, views, cursors.
  • Develop and optimize database structures, complex PL/SQL store procedures, functions, dynamic management views, DDL triggers and user define functions.
  • Develop/update Unix shell scripts.
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks and perform tuning on code.
  • Develop and enhance software programs and data structures that meet business objectives.
  • Produce technical design documentation as required and ensure work complies with the architectural roadmap, and identify and update existing design documents impacted due to changes.
  • Ensure individual and team tasks are performed on-time by communicating and working closely with other members of the team.
  • Retain a focus on completion, identifying and resolving issues.
  • Should be able to do 80% Oracle and 20% non-Oracle.
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager.

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, mathematics or related discipline
  • 8+ years of technical experience developing or supporting Oracle Database solutions using Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
  • 5+ years of user interface and presentation design and development skills.
  • 5+ years analysis, design, and ability to deliver a quality product on time.
  • Strong experience in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience in Advanced PL/SQL programming such as bulk handling, pipelined functions, analytical queries, collections, objects etc.
  • Experience in the rules of generating certified payroll report.
  • Experience in time keeping systems such as Kronos.
  • Experience in ERP systems including GL and PA modules.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving environment.
  • Able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge on Incident management, Change management and Release management.
