Position Details

Assist the Maintenance Technician with a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the company.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs general day-to-day maintenance of interior and exterior of the greenhouse and other operational areas.
  • Performs general repairs and overall maintenance to plumbing, carpentry, electrical equipment and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities and forklifts
  • Troubleshoot and repair pack line as quickly and effectively as possible to ensure constant flow of product
  • Complete any necessary maintenance of the packing lines or facility.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling

equipment in performing duties

  • Responsible for the general outdoor maintenance including snow removal.
  • Responsible to respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide maintenance on AC units, replace filters and other as assigned.
  • Inspect production conveyors and address repairs as needed to guarantee correct equipment functioning.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team
  • High School diploma with technical training and/or experience
  • Background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Experience with forklifts, conveyors, hydraulic and/or pneumatic equipment an asset
  • Possesses maintenance troubleshooting ability.
  • General mechanical and technical knowledge.
  • Must have a valid G driver's license.
  • Ability to use standard hand/power tools and shop equipment
  • Able to complete all work duties and procedures efficiently, according to instructions given by Management
  • Self motivated, able to balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to complete duties with mínimal supervision
  • Must possess great communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with all levels of workers within the organization
  • Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
