We're committed to nurturing talent and providing growth opportunities in a dynamic environment where innovation shapes the future of nutritional health.Position Summary:The Master Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of the organization’s master data to support business operations and decision-making. This role involves managing and maintaining data in key areas such as customers, suppliers, item master data, BOMs and routings. The Master Data Specialist collaborates closely with various departments, including IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Sales, to ensure that data is aligned with business needs and that data governance policies are adhered to.Bioriginal is a rapidly expanding and evolving organization, and this role will include core responsibilities but may also adapt in response to company needs and changes. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities are key attributes for success in this role.Responsibilities & Expectations:Master Data Management: Create, maintain, and update master data records in line with company policies and standards.This includes data elements critical to maintain effectivity of the company’s ERP system: Item/Part Master, BOMs, Routings, Cost components, Customers, Suppliers.Maintain accuracy of product costing and adjust key elements based on manufacturing changes, market trends and business objectives.Data Analysis and Quality Assurance: Regularly audit master data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness; resolve any data discrepancies.Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance practices to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure accurate data integration across systems.Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to data management processes to enhance efficiency and data quality.Reporting & Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation related to master data processes, including data standards, procedures, and workflows.Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users on master data related topics and systems.Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related study.3+ years of experience in data management, preferably in manufacturing industry.Knowledge of ERP (Epicor Kinetic) and data visualization tools (PowerBI) are considered a strong asset.Strong Excel skills, experience in SQL and data manipulation languages.Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends or inconsistencies.High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing data.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues effectively.Exceptional organizational skills and time management skills; ability to manage range of tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision.What do we offer?
