Sturgeon Public School Division is currently seeking one qualified part-time Educational Assistant 2 , for a work assignment at our Namao School. Namao School is located just minutes north of the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert. It serves Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grades 1-9, with an approximate total population of 400 students and 38 staff. Namao School fosters a safe and caring environment for students to learn and thrive in a close-knit school community. This assignment is subject to change based on operational requirements. FTE: 0.5 FTE; 16.25 hrs/week; Part-Time Temporary Initial Assignment: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in an elementary classroom. Qualifications & Experience: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate; experience working with Autistic children is an asset; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered. Hourly Rate: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement. ABOUT STURGEON PUBLIC SCHOOLS Sturgeon Public Schools prides itself on doing things a little differently.
