Those who do not meet the minimum requirements for this role (as outlined below), or who do not provide a resume, will not be considered or contacted Atlantic Packaging is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support their facility in Ancaster/Hamilton.The Perfect Candidate:The successful candidate will be a highly seasoned quality professional who is well-versed in development and execution of Quality Management strategies. Their strong aptitude for process improvement and root cause analysis should be complemented by an exceptional ability to lead, build relationships, and communicate with all layers of the organization. This person will have gained their experience from within a fast-paced manufacturing facility, and should they offer a background of related experience that includes supporting the paper/packaging industry in any way, this would be deemed a monumental asset. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain quality control processes and procedures, including regular inspections, testing, and audits throughout the manufacturing process.Collaborate with production, design, shipping and other teams to identify and address quality concerns, facilitate in conducting root-cause analysis and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions promptly.Monitor and analyze quality data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.Foster a culture of Safety, Continuous Improvement, Quality awareness, and accountability among all employees.Prepare and present quality reports and findings to senior management, clients/customers, and cross-functional teams.Travel (using own reliable vehicle) to client sites to deliver presentations directly to client stake-holders, as well as to other Atlantic Packaging facilities who may occasionally require additional quality support (travel requirements will make up a maximum of 20% of the job activities).Track and drive improvements in quality KPI’s and NCR’s, recommend and execute CAPA’s; communicate with management and customers regarding quality performance and initiatives.Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant quality and environmental standards.Support the Continuous Improvement team in the implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide training programs for production and quality assurance personnel to improve understanding of and compliance with quality standards.Help the Operations team evaluate plant manufacturing processes and procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.Provide training programs for production and quality assurance personnel to improve understanding of, and compliance with, quality standards.Prepare any credit receipts required for clients, and forward to Invoicing Clerk for processing.Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with all health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management, Paper Science).Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a quality management (or very closely related) role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper or pulp industry.Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (Lean Manufacturing, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, NCR’s & CAPA’s).Above-average mathematical abilities with a solid understanding of the relationship between quality testing and mathematics. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.Experience with quality control tools and techniques, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making.Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills with the ability to support, and provide job-specific guidance to, a high-performing quality team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to present a vibrant and energetic persona, and possess the confidence and skill required to lead Quality-driven presentations to extremely high-level client audiences.Demonstrates incredibly strong organizational skills and unmatched attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a very fast-paced environment, prioritize job activities appropriately, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Must possess a valid driver's license, and own a reliable vehicle in order to support the 20% travel requirements (within the GTA) for this position.Must have a clear criminal record, and be willing to participate in a background check and employment verification process (all checks are company-paid).
