Accounts Receivable Clerk

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk . Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties. In this Accounts Receivable Clerk position, you will need to be a self-starter with high attention to detail, in order to succeed. This is a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Vancouver, British Columbia area. Key responsibilities - Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers - Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks - Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues - Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers - Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP - Verify documents and codes - 1+ years of experience required - Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy - General proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) - Collections experience preferred - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment -Excellent communication skills APPLY NOW!
