Job Type : Full Time/Permanent, 4 days/week

Minimum Credentials : Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience Required : A minimum experience of 2 years in food industry.

Knowledge of food safety (HACCP/SQF), basic workplace safety/accident investigation, computer skills including Excel and Outlook.

Starting Wage : $21-25/hour (depending on experience)

Vacation Paid : 2 weeks per year

Objective : Develop production schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring food safety and quality standards are maintained and enforced with standards set. (Liaise with Food Safety Coordinator & Research and Development Coordinator, respectfully)
  • Manage and direct all packaging and non-food inventory levels and purchases. (Liaise with Operations Manager)
  • Work with Operations Manager at planning and implementing changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work. (Liaise with Maintenance Coordinator for repairs/timeline of repairs to equipment)
  • Verify, track, and enter data related to production documents and processes.
  • Schedule, implement and monitor planned daily production (Must be able to manipulate schedule on a daily/weekly basis to ensure orders are met and production does not slow or stop).
  • Monitor and track daily production waste, decreasing annual wastage.
  • Monitor, enter and proactively interpret production data.
  • Breaks down production plan scheduled into packaging materials needed.
  • Support, direct and train Production leaders (Supervisors and Lead Hands)
  • Ensure planned production is implemented and enforced following Provincial and Company OH&S Acts, Regulations and Programs guidelines.
  • To coordinate with all departments the actual production activities and ensuring that all the supervisors have every supply/tool they need to complete required production. Cleaning, HACCP functions, maintenance, shipping, R&D trials etc. are all coordinated through this position.

Salary : $21.00-$25.00 per hour
