Receiver - Afternoon Shift

Location :Ayr, Ontario

Hours of Work: Afternoon Shift Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm Overtime as Required

Primary Responsibilities :

• Operate fork lift to unload trucks and receive raw material on a daily basis
• Receive incoming material ensuring proper documentation (packing slips, material certifications) are included
• Record receiving information in ERP system and receiving log
• Perform cycle counts as directed by Supervisor, and accurately record cycle count information on record provided by Supervisor
• Move material to quarantine area as directed
• Relocate received material into Raw Material racking, maintaining organization and FIFO
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the plant in accordance to the 5-S program
• Assist Material Handler and Shipper as required
• Participation in monthly and year-end inventory counts

Qualifications Required :

• Completion of Grade 12 (OSSD) or GED is required
• Minimum of three (3) years’ licensed forklift experience (propane or electric)
• Minimum of one (1) - three (3) years’ experience in a logistics environment; automotive preferred
• Ability to perform tasks within defined work instructions
• Adheres to related health and safety legislation (forklift safety)
• Use of simple mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy of inventory reporting
• Must be flexible and available to participate in inventory and cycle count outside of regular hours as required
