What will your work week look like? Job summary**: Reporting to the Senior Director, Logistics, Equipment and Procurement , the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring complete internal customer satisfaction and evaluating the logistics department on a regional level. They will also have to take requests from work sites, plan and delegate the requests to the correct department and ensure that the requests are tracked. They will work closely with the equipment department, the procurement department, the pre-construction department and construction sites.

Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate and ensure the quality of the logistics services provided, follow up where required and make recommendations to improve performance;
  • Process all site requests for their region and ensure they are distributed to the correct service departments;
  • Make monthly visits to customers (sites) to ensure good working relationships and validate that the service provided meets the clients’ needs;
  • Fill out requests for equipment and consumables to be sent from the warehouse or yard connected to the client’s respective region;
  • Depending on the regional volume, the coordinator may make certain purchases by purchase order, while always maintaining contact with the category specialist;
  • They will attend each site kick-off meeting so as to fully understand the issues at stake for each client;
  • Validate performance indicators in relation to customer service.

Do you have these qualifications and skills?

  • A technical background in logistics or procurement;
  • More than 10 years of experience in logistics management;
  • Solid experience in sales or customer management (see online...);
  • Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written;
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain working relationships;
  • High level of autonomy, able to deal with last-minute requests;
  • Prepared to travel within the Ottawa/Gatineau and surrounding region, as required.
