This position offers a continental rotating shift schedule. 12 hour shifts rotate from day to night weekly. You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts. 12 hour shifts are (days and nights) 8:00 – 8:00 Or 7:00 – 7:00Join us and help build a better future for generations to come!At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions. Your future team:You will become part of the Operations team on the production line, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Each team has up to 9-12 team members who work together to produce high quality stone wool products. What you will be doing:Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplaceReport quantity of deficiencies and the causeSeparate wasteReport all irregularities related to the work of subordinate devicesPartner with Maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment and safe removal of failures and/or machine problemsInform supervisor and relevant shifts of any problems or tasks in need of attentionPlan efficient product changesCommunicate unusual conditions, equipment issues, or reasons for change of production volume to cross shift operatorComplete shutdown tasks and proceduresWhat you bring:Strong work ethicTeam player who can work well with othersAbility to read, understand and follow written instructions/processesAbility to adhere to a continental rotating 12-hour shift scheduleSelf-motivated with high energyPositive attitudeHigh school diploma or equivalentUnderstanding of Health & Safety requirements and ability to work in a safe mannerPrior experience in machine set-up and computersGood understanding of how equipment operates to clear equipment safelyForklift experience/certificationWork Environment & Conditions:Fast-paced high volume production facilityMust be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 hours per dayAbility to lift 60 lbs alone and 120 lbs with another personAbility to shovel heavy waste to shoulder heightAbility to wear protective safety equipment for several hours dailyWhat we offer:Competitive wagesComprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, massage therapy and moreRRSP – Employer ContributionPaid holidays (4 additional days on top of the ESA requirement)Vacation PayLife insurance - at no costEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Educational AssistanceAnnual Fitness Reimbursement$200 Annual Safety Shoe ReimbursementSafety is number one!
