FLINT is seeking energetic and self-driven Pipefitters to join our team for the upcoming Turnaround in Redwater, AB, from September 9, 2024, to September 28, 2024.
As a Pipefitter, you'll be immersed in various tasks, from studying blueprints and layouts to assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings. We encourage you to apply if you hold a Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket/certification, possess the necessary safety certifications, and have operating plant experience.

As a Pipefitter, you'll be immersed in various tasks, from studying blueprints and layouts to assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings. We encourage you to apply if you hold a Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket/certification, possess the necessary safety certifications, and have operating plant experience.
What would you be doing?
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.
- Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.
- Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
- Maintain and repair piping systems.
- Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification.
- Valid CSTS-20 and H2S Alive tickets.
- Valid AWP (Aerial Work Platform), Fall Protection, and Confined Space- Entry tickets are assets.
- Experience with hydro testing an asset.
- Enjoy a varied workload.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
- Competitive Pay.
- Benefits after 300 hours of work.
- LOA $165.00/day.
- 1 hour daily travel based on the Reg. Rate.
- Retention Bonus of $50.00/day.
- Opportunity to work overtime if the workload demands.
- Straight through work schedule, 12 hrs/day.
