Sherritt’s common shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “S”.Position SummaryReporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst – FP & A will manage the forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning activities for the Division (where the Division is defined as including Moa JV and Sherritt’s Fort Site operations including ancillary operations like Technologies) to key stakeholders (including management, Board, and shareholders) with Directors, Controllers and management at each site (Moa, Nassau, Fort Saskatchewan) to ensure requirements of the strategic planning process and schedule are met.This is a full-time position covering a maternity leave based out of our Fort Saskatchewan office.AccountabilitiesPrepare the monthly/quarterly forecasts and the annual financial budget and long-range plan reports for the Moa JV Division.Prepare the quarterly forecasts and the annual budget and long-range strategic plan(s) for the Technologies Division.Develop a 3-12 month business plan to carry out all forward-looking value-add analyses, models and systems to support management in making timely decisions on various continuous improvement and growth initiatives.Prepare timely and accurate financial information and analysis of performance in relation to annual strategic goals. Coordinate the annual business interruption insurance renewal with Cost Center Managers at the Division.Optimize and sustain meaningful and dynamic financial tools based on operational drivers to support decision-making by the Metals FP&A Group.Provide business support and financial advice as a strategic business partner to other members of the Metals FP&A Group.
