DescriptionOur government client is looking for an experienced candidate meeting the following requirements who is able to perform the requested duties. Duties Responsible for the development of Instrumentation Maintenance Contracts within PWGSC designated facilities and the Central Heating Plants with private sector maintenance service providers. The work will involve: Participating in the development of Instrumentation Maintenance Service ContractsReviewing and updating existing inventory databases with PWGSC Maintenance personnel to reflect presently installed hardwareParticipating in the development of Sequence of OperationsMaintaining an effective liaison with PWGSC trades staff and building facility management personnel Participating in the Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS) National CommitteeInvestigating and reporting with technical recommendations on BACS operational issues in Buildings and Central Heating and Cooling PlantsPlans and administers operational budgets for maintenance contracts of Automation Systems in Buildings and Central Heating PlantsActs as a technical Authority for Real Property Contracting Directorate ( RPCD ) for maintenance contracts in dispute Qualifications Experience:In addition to the minimum experience required by the classification and level of expertise, the potential candidate must also demonstrate experience in the following: Position Requirements: The position requires the potential candidate to have an extensive amount of experience inDevelopment of Instrumentation Maintenance ContractsExperience in the testing and verification process of various types of Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS).Experience in facilities operations and producing technical reports relative to BACSExperience in PWGSC Service Contract procedures and Real Property Contracting policies and procedures The candidate must also have:knowledge of operation and maintenance of facilities and related to BACSknowledge of maintenance inspection processes and procedures for BACSknowledge in the testing of LS (Life Safety) equipment and systems in multi-functional facilities relative to BACSknowledge of building and life safety codes, standards, acts, regulations, theories and practices related to testing and maintenanceknowledge of departmental policies and procedures relating to Instrumentation maintenance service contractsknowledge of Health and Safety regulationsknowledge of performing quality monitoring inspections of BACS in AFD (alternate form of delivery) managed facilitiesCandidate must be detail oriented, possess the ability to function in a team environment, be self-motivated and work with minimum supervisionKnowledge of first aid methods, techniques and practices to provide emergency services in the event of accidents or incidents in the fieldEducation:Certificate, diploma, or degree in a specific undergraduate field from a post secondary Canadian institution
