Industrial Labourer

GFL Environmental is looking for a full time Industrial Services Technician/Water Blaster to help support our operations in Kitchener, ON. The day to day responsibilities of this role will include: environmental and safety monitoring at our site.

This is a year round full time position. No experience required - we will train you!

Key Responsibilities :

• Responsible for day to day monitoring or assigned project
• Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment and Industrial Services Shop
• Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required
• Line snaking, Drain and Pipe Inspections as required
• Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes
• Assist on Vacuum Trucks/plant operations as required
• Confined Space Entry/ Rescue as required for Industrial Services Project
• Working while using Respirator or Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus
• Shoveling, Jack Hammering, Squeegee, Scraping and heavy lifting as required
• Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc
• Operate Aerial boom lift/Scissor Lift as required

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies :

• Class G license required
• AZ/DZ License is considered an asset
• Previous experience with Vacuum Trucks, Industrial Power-washing or Water-blasting, or Liquid Waste Industry
• Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, days, evenings, nights & possibly weekends or holidays
