Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This is a critical role in our organization, as you will be the face of our company on the road and play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

  • Safely operate and drive tractor-trailer combinations or straight trucks to transport goods over long distances
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking oil, water, fuel, tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including logs, trip reports, and delivery receipts
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers using two-way radios or other communication devices
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding transportation operations

Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts for loading/unloading cargo
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a long haul driver or similar role
  • Excellent driving skills with the ability to navigate various road conditions and terrains
  • Strong time management skills to meet delivery schedules
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and fellow drivers

We offer competitive pay rates for this position. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.

Pay: $4,500.00-$5,500.00 per month

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

Experience :

  • Truck driving: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 1 Licence (preferred)
