MPA have partnered with a lead 24hr emergency and specialty clinic who are looking for Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. With state of the art speciality services including dentistry, oncology, anesthesia, dermatology, surgery, internal medicine and advanced medical imaging.
What you'll do
The role involves delivering urgent and critical care to injured or ill dogs, cats, exotics, and pocket pets. Duties include performing emergency surgeries, overseeing anesthesia, administering medications, and monitoring patients' vital signs. The Emergency Veterinarian will collaborate closely with the veterinary team and other specialists to ensure optimal patient care.
What you need:
Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine, surgery, anesthesia, and critical care DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited university Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario Ability to work well under pressure and make quick, sound medical decisions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and veterinary team members Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed Experience with exotics and pocket pets is a plus
