Warranty Manager - Western Canada

As the principal owner of the Warranty Program for GFL Western Canada, your job will be to deliver optimum value by driving improved warranty recovery rates for the business. This includes supplier program requirements such as in-depth local dealer interactions, contacts, and management, process refinement, completing warranty filing and follow-through, and the overall administration and management of warranty returns.Key Responsibilities:Warranty Management:Own and understand the warranty programs within the area. This includes all aspects from processes, training, monitoring, and follow up.Drive overall warranty recovery rates throughout all business units and increase participation in warranty programs, while monitoring KPI’s for opportunities.Be the primary internal resource for knowledge and projects related to the warranty process, supporting individual sites in warranty claim submission and processing.Interact directly with partner dealerships in various cities, supporting sponsored warranty programs, managing relationships, and working to keep program in good standing.Continue to develop and strengthen the warranty program within the area.Ensure you are achieving warranty targets and managing systems in a way to drive maximum warranty value.Discover missed opportunities and pursue warranty claims and capture goodwill credits.Promote a culture of professionalism, high energy, and commitment within the management team.Support sites in aftermarket warranty terms on over-the-counter parts warranty programs, ensuring no missed opportunities in parts purchasing decisions.Requirements: The ideal Warranty Manager will come from a background in automotive or heavy equipment warranty administration, must be familiar with heavy truck and equipment parts, experience in a technical or mechanical background in relation to trucking will be beneficial. Experience operating in a shop setting and an ability to administer policies and procedures.Ability to move quickly in a fast-developing environment and adaptability to changing conditions.Excellent warranty recovery skills – proficient in all aspects warranty execution.Experience of stakeholder engagement within a decentralised multi-site environment.Excellent negotiation skillsWillingness to travel as requested.Ability to deal with all levels of management.Keen analytical mind and high Excel skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExperience in the Waste and Recycling Industry is an asset but not a requirement.Dealership or OEM warranty experienceWorking ConditionsThe Warranty Manager must be able to work inside and/or outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. Work locations could vary from office to boardroom to shop floor.Physical DemandsPhysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping/gripping, and pushing/pulling.Work utilizing personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, safety-toed boot, utility gloves, reflective vest, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, etc.Work outside and inside, around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts.Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
