Job description : A manufacturing company located on the South Shore of Montreal is looking for a Supply Chain Manager - Distribution.Job description:As a Supply Chain Director in the distribution field, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all activities related to the supply chain to ensure efficient and secure distribution of products. You will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution of products in compliance with regulations.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize the supply chain, considering market needs, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.Operations Management: Supervise all operational activities of the supply chain, including inventory management, receiving, quality control, packaging, shipping, and product distribution.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and quality departments to ensure effective coordination and transparent communication throughout the supply chain.Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics service providers, negotiate contract terms, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations, including traceability requirements.Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks associated with the supply chain, such as stockouts, product quality issues, and logistical challenges, to ensure operational continuity.Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of supply chain services. Skills and qualifications : Bachelor's degree in business or in engineering.Significant professional experience in supply chain management, preferably in the distribution sector or a related field.Thorough knowledge of regulations and quality standards applicable to product distribution.Advanced skills in operations management, strategic planning, negotiation, and problem-solving.Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and team management skills.Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
