Qualifications :
- Valid Class 1 licence
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Experience with truck and trailer combination
- Ability to perform physical exertion such as repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling items that weight up to 50 pounds as part of their daily routine
- Able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements
- Must have strong communication, verbal & written, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logbooks
- Keep equipment clean and in good working order
- Immediately report any defects in equipment or workmanship, which may jeopardize the safe operation of the vehicle to the Supervisor
- Ensure that all loads being transported are loaded in a safe and secure manner
