Animal Care Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Assistant to join our team. As an Animal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to the animals in our facility. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animal welfare and looking to gain experience in a laboratory setting.

Duties :

• Assist with the daily care and feeding of animals, including providing fresh food and water, cleaning cages, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
• Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor
• Administer medications or treatments as directed by the veterinary staff
• Assist with handling and restraining animals during procedures or examinations
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and treatments
• Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample collection and processing
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment

Experience :

• Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of basic animal care practices and procedures
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Skills :

• Laboratory skills: Ability to perform basic laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing

We offer competitive pay based on experience.

Salary : $16.55-$18.00 per hour
