Job Summary

OPUS Vancouver is looking for an Executive Housekeeper to join the team!

The successful candidate must have a passion for tourism and hospitality, exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and an entrepreneurial spirit. You'll be working in a fast-paced, boutique environment alongside various departments, while supporting the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department, and play a key role in the hotel's senior leadership team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage and coordinate a team of Room Attendants and House Person.
Be a hands-on leader to support housekeeping team in their duties to ensure all guest rooms and common areas meet the brand standards.
Have a positive attitude, maintain enthusiasm, and celebrate success within a dynamic department.
Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms, while preparing purchase requisitions when required.
Supervise staff, establish and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department.
Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met.
Schedule and assign duties for the housekeeping team.
Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are met.
Respond and resolve guest complaints.
Perform basic Human Resources duties.
Liaise with maintenance team on a regular basis to ensure upkeep of the property is maintained as well as housekeeping equipment.
Work with the Front Office team to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Train, supervise, motivate, and coach supervisors and attendants, in addition to maintaining daily operations and expectations with consistency and fairness.
Manage monthly and quarterly department expenses to ensure they stay in-line with budget.

Your Experiences and Skills Include:

High-school graduation certificate.
Experience with Opera is an asset.
2+ years of leadership experience in a housekeeping department in an upscale hotel.
Individual must be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and able to handle weight up to 30lbs.
