Accounts Payable Supervisor

This client of Robert Half is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor that will be responsible for managing all accounts payable activities for the company, ensuring timely payment of vendor invoices & maintains accurate records. This is a permanent position located on-site in Richmond Hill.   RESPONSIBILITIES: ·      Leadership of all AP matters ·      Ensure payment complies with vendor contract terms ·      Must communicate & follow up effectively with all vendors and employees on a timely basis ·      Provide leadership and guidance to the members of accounts payable team. ·      Work with Purchasing manager & Material manager to obtain approval in a timely manner ·      Prepare monthly AP accrual’s JE for month end closing ·      Prepare monthly assigned vendor reconciliations ·      Participates in monthly close activities & performs month end reconciliation & AP aging report and trial balance ·      Manages the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable across multiple locations using cheques, ACH, EFT and wire payment method ·      Develop, implement and improve policies and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency ·      Assist with annual audit package ·      5+ years Accounts Payable experience in high volume transactions ·      Grade 12 education, some post secondary courses an asset ·      Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills ·      Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details ·      Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train and evaluate work results ·      Able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with external partners ·      Previous experience in SAP considered an asset Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
