Your role would involve**:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all Adult Day Programs and Healthier Living Centre programs offered at Lumacare.
  • Lead, manage, and monitor the contributions and effectiveness of a team of Program Supervisors.
  • Strategize, develop and implement approved, program initiatives and processes in alignment with the agency’s strategic direction to advance quality, best practices and innovation.
  • Ensure program targets and funder obligations are achieved, making critical decisions and adjustments as necessary throughout the year to accomplish annual targets.
  • Maintain statistical data, monitors program activity levels, efficiency, budget, trending, and impacts.
  • Support best practices as well as the delivery of safe, effective, efficient and quality client care services.
  • Represent the agency at external/internal committees, planning tables, and at various networking initiatives.
  • Provide after hours on-call support as required.
  • A Post-Secondary Degree in a Healthcare related field such as Recreation, Social Work, Health Sciences, Gerontology, Occupational Therapy etc.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the community sector or health care environment managing complex programs is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory/leadership experience in the community sector strongly preferred. Must possess strong leadership, motivation, delegation, coaching/mentoring and empowerment skills.
  • Experience working with the frail and elderly population and knowledge of community resources including various funding sources.
  • Strong project management with experience in process improvements.
  • Effective problem solving skills, ability to deal effectively with complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Have proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally with a wide range of stakeholders and partnering organizations.
  • Have excellent communication (written and oral), team building, organizational, conceptual and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess critical thinking skills, sound decision making and a collaborative approach.
  • Have excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of CIMS and the RAI-CHA is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is required.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police check (completed within last 12 months) and a current First Aid / CPR Certificate is required.

This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and you must provide Lumacare with proof of vaccination prior to employment.
