As an experienced baker with enthusiasm and a passion for quality food you will work under a red seal pastry chef and will be responsible for ensuring preparation, cooking, taste and presentation are consistently of a high standard. We are looking for a skilled baker who is looking to expand their career.

The position entails starting and finishing a daily rotation of bread, including sourdough, multigrain, baguettes, brioche, focaccia, raisin bread, and light rye loaves. Also responsible for fresh pizza dough and brioche buns, and baking off the daily scones, cinnamon buns, muffins, and preparing the doughs and batter for these.

This position is full time, 5 days weekly. Shifts are 8 hours long, and flexible between the hours of 6pm and 7am. Your shift must be completed by 7am, as we will continue to use the warmed oven for our breakfast and lunch preparation. The hours are flexible otherwise.

Skills and experience required:

  • At least 2 years of baking experience, no commercial experience is required, but the right attitude is an asset!
  • Efficient working ethic.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Positive and dynamic personality with the ability to work under pressure.
