Job Description: Breakfast Cook

This position is responsible for executing the duties outlined in the job description for the daily operations in the Main Kitchen. One of the first individuals in the kitchen, with assistance from the baker you will both make sure all needed equipment are turned on and at running order. He/she is responsible for the breakfast station during breakfast service. Always keeping themselves and their workstations clean and organized on a daily basis. Follow day to day tasks which are given by their superior and to have consistent communication between all kitchen staff.

Responsibilities :

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, staff & management.
  • Professional image, reflecting positively on the company.
  • Able to be flexible with working early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities.
  • Good communication skills within a team environment.
  • Initiative to isolate and solve problems.
  • Ability to relate to all levels of personnel.
  • Adapts easily to change.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Turning on all the equipment first thing and making sure it is all in running order.
  • Prepping and organizing the breakfast station.
  • Executing breakfast services.
  • Other related duties which are assigned.
  • Following daily cleaning jobs and responsibilities.

Requirements :

  • Culinary Arts levels 1, 2 or 3.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Red Seal is an asset.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
