Duties & Responsibilities :
- Experience working in shored trenches installing various pipe types
- Installs water, sanitary sewer, storm water, and Hydro/Telephone/Cable pipes, structures and pipe systems
- Lays out pipe routes, following specifications or civil plans
- Checks slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
- Cuts pipes to required lengths, positions, and aligns pipes during pipeline construction and prepares them for fusing or installation
- Connects pipe pieces and seal joints using fusing equipment, cement, glue, or pipe soap
- Grades and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
Qualifications Required :
- Construction Experience (required)
- Class 5 Drivers License (preferred)
- Confined Space Certification (preferred)
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Safety Conscious
