Training Supervisor - Craig Mine

Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (Sudbury INO)

The Training Supervisor actively participates in the development and implementation of the Craig Mine training programs including safety training, emergency preparedness in accordance with safety regulations, company policy and standards.

The Training Supervisor is a support position providing leadership to all personnel in training including legislated training, supervisory training, training for Craig Mine Operations and Maintenance functions. The position must positively influence safety through the development and delivery of effective training programs, with the ultimate goal of improving the overall competency of the workforce to continuously improve safety performance and operational excellence.

This position requires a thorough understanding of mining operations and procedures along with strong organizational, motivational and leadership skills.

The incumbent must keep abreast of technological and process changes, and constantly oversee and assess the quality of training (including the work of contract trainers and P&M trainers) and revise the training methods and materials as required. The Training Supervisor must be able to audit and provide feedback to operating and maintenance supervision, P&M Trainers, JHSC, and the workers.
