Concrete Labourer (Temp)

Matrix is hiring Concrete Labourers for a long-term project in Northern Ontario. This project is a 20 and 10 rotation in a remote location. Flights, camp accommodations, and meals will be provided.

Responsibilities :

• Perform tasks such as pouring, formwork, and grouting.
• Construct forms and assist in raising them to the appropriate elevation.
• Operate the concrete mixing machine in a safe manner to prepare cement or grout.
• Operate a pressure sprayer to spray grout to cover exposed bedrock.
• Install and tie rebar and wire mesh.
• Operate hand and power tools, cement mixers, sprayers, and other small equipment.
• Clean construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Load and unload construction materials and transport them to the job site.
• Signal the concrete deliverer to position the truck to facilitate pouring.

Qualifications :

• 2+ years of concrete or carpentry experience.
• Steel-toed boots.
• Willing to work day & nights ($1.00/hour premium for night shift).
• Complete required Safety Training before arriving at the site.
• No A&D testing is required; however, there could be random selection testing performed if necessary.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including kneeling and standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads.
• Ensure safety is a top priority at all times.
