Parts Shipping and Receiving

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: „ Count items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, in voices, orders and other records.

„ Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

„ Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.

„ Assemble wooden or cardboard containers, or select preassembled containers.

„ Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.

„ Stamp or write identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or container. „ Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.

„ Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damages items record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

„ Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications.

„ Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

„ Direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.

„ Receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment and be designated Returned Goods, Receiving Clerk.

„ Receive unsold products returned by Parts Driver.

„ Treat customers in accordance with Dealership policies.

„ Write LEGIBLY and record all information accurately.

„ Keep Parts Manager informed of all problems and stock requirements.

„ Place parts into stock or customers bins quickly and accurately.

„ Notify other departments in the dealership when their parts arrive.

„ Attend any parts schools as requested.

Salary : From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
