  • Report to the Director, Organizational Design & Development;
  • Research and develop recommendations for designing and updating talent processes and programs that support an exemplary employee experience;
  • Provide organizational development and learning solutions advice and support to internal manager clients;
  • Design and develop creative, high-quality, interactive learning content for remote and classroom;
  • Develop the infrastructure for Learning and Development (L&D) programs by establishing standardized methods, tools and templates for assessment, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting for a range of delivery platforms
  • Deliver and facilitate training via live classroom, onsite training, web/video conference and one-on-one training;
  • Support the implementation of the evaluation strategy to ensure a data-driven approach to improving people centric and learning programs;
  • Identify and analyze the skills, performance, and knowledge gaps to create effective learning programs for University wide initiatives in the areas of core competency development, succession planning and career pathing;
  • Provide an equity, diversity and inclusion lens to people and organizational development programs and processes;
  • Lead and/or partner with the HR Services team on people analytics projects, including predictive analytics, dashboards/data visualization, and identifying trends and recommendations;
  • Collect, forecast, and report on quantitative and statistical workforce data, information, and trends;
  • Participate in requirement gathering, building, testing, and implementation for Work Force Planning (WFP) technology initiatives (i.e., Workday);
  • Conduct learning and organizational development planning analysis and activities to ensure ongoing and future organizational talent demands are met, exceeded, and measured;
  • Collaborate in the development of an evidence based, data driven approach to strategic HR management;
  • Analyze and present People metrics and related HR data in the form of dashboards, infographics, and reports designed to support Brock’s People strategy and the resolution of HR business issue.;

Qualifications :

  • Relevant University degree in Organizational Development, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related discipline with a concentration in Human Resources Management, or combined education and relevant experience;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant and progressive experience in Human Resources or Organizational design and development with a focus on organizational development change management, learning and development, people metrics and analytics;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in adult learning and technology-based learning with the ability to link knowledge transfer with desired strategic outcomes;
  • Knowledge of human resources and human capital planning to understand complex business and HR challenges and make strategic planning talent process recommendations;
  • Knowledge of cultural change management frameworks and approaches and organizational development with an intersectional inclusion lens;
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, trends and best practices in development and delivery of organizational development initiatives, including in-depth knowledge of the needs assessment process, performance development & assessment processes;
  • Experience working with different learning platforms, systems, and tools to create blended learning solutions;
  • Experience developing effective learning solutions in the format of micro-learning, gamified learning, just-in-time solutions, infographics, videos, animations, etc.;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR-related information systems and databases to design/utilize databases and a wide variety of analyses and reports;
  • Strong interest working with, analysing data, and conducting research focused projects;
  • The ability to motivate, coach, mentor and encourage people, including demonstrating leadership through significant change initiatives;
  • Superior facilitation and presentation skills;
  • Passion for teaching, motivating, and coaching; and
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and the changing demands of business, manage ambiguity, deliver results with a sense of urgency, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred or Asset Skills :

  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation;
  • Experience and proficiency with Workday, a cloud based human resource management software system and Learning Management Systems (LMS);
  • Knowledge of University government model, operations/mission/priorities (to understand and meet organizational needs), Faculties and bi-cameral system; and,
  • Demonstrated experience in a public sector or educational environment, Including unionized environments.
