Company Bio Home and Community Care Support Services South East is one of 14 Home and Community Care Support Services organizations in Ontario with a focused mandate to deliver local health care services such as home and community care and long-term care home placement. These organizations were previously known as Local Health Integration Networks (or "LHINs") at a time when they also led local health care planning and funding, and those functions are now part of Ontario Health. Home and Community Care Support Services South East is dedicated to ensuring the ongoing delivery of local services while Ontario makes changes to improve the health care system to give patients better-connected care with health care providers working as one coordinated team in Ontario Health Teams. The south east region extends from Brighton on the west, to Prescott and Cardinal on the east, north to Perth and Smith Falls, and back to Bancroft. The boundaries are for funding and planning purposes only. Residents of the Home and Community Care Support Services South East can seek health care services wherever they prefer, inside or outside these boundaries. Position Summary The Compensation and Benefits Coordinator position is responsible for providing Human Resources support, guidance and expertise to the workforce in the areas of compensation and benefits administration. The Coordinator plays a key role in the development of reports and reporting tools leveraging HRIS systems expertise to enhance HR data, analytics and decision making. - Administers the various Home and Community Care Support Services South East benefits programs, including: extended health, dental, and group life insurances; and HOOPP pension plan; meets with employees and providers to ensure smooth administration and processing. - Acts as a key contact for benefit providers and staff members; provides guidance and works to resolve employee benefit issues in a timely manner - Drafts benefits policies and procedures for approval by the Manager and Director; - Addresses compliance issues with benefit providers; ensures accuracy of benefit booklets and alignment with the collective agreements. - Reconciles monthly benefit provider billings and arranges payment. - Ensures accurate records and benefit information (Quadrant) and conducts regular audit of benefit data, collaborating with HRIS (Quadrant), providers and payroll as needed to ensure accuracy of data. - Researches, assembles and reports information necessary to develop compensation management programs; - Maintains confidential non-bargaining salary grids. - Develops, coordinates, communicates, interprets and maintains the day-to-day management of the non-union salary administration program, - Ensures that salary increases and other compensation, benefit and pension related changes are processed accurately and on time. - In collaboration with Manager, Human Resources and Labour Relations, plans, implements, administers and conducts management and non-union job evaluations, maintaining a database of evaluations. - Where required, works in partnership with the union(s) on job evaluation and salary administration under the applicable collective agreement. - Analyzes trends and information and makes recommendations for continuous improvement of Benefit/Compensation programs to support the needs of the organization. - Gathers data for compensation programs, HSSO surveys and collective agreement preparation and administration. - As lead HRIS administrator (Quadrant) supports the design and configuration of complex reporting, data gathering and analysis requirements. - Liaises with stakeholders (i.e. Finance, Decision Support, Payroll) to support HR reporting, analytics, and systems development. - Analyzes data, report requests and makes recommendations to support business solutions. - Utilizing systems expertise, makes recommendations for continuous improvement of HR data, metrics, and report offerings and processes to support the needs of the organization. - Participates and provides recommendations in development of HROD policies and procedures. - Participates in HROD related projects and initiatives as required Minimum Qualifications & Position Requirements - College diploma or University Degree in Human Resources or Payroll Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Certified Compensation Professional or Payroll Compliance Practitioner preferred; - 5 years’ experience demonstrated success overseeing the administration of complex compensation and benefit programs, or payroll, in a system driven, highly regulated environment. - Excellent analytical skills to analyze and interpret data to deliver a solution/recommendation which meets the organization needs - Ability to work well with others and in a team environment. - Experience working with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and with Quadrant HRIS System a significant asset. - Experience in interpreting union collective agreements a
