Company Bio Home and Community Care Support Services South East is one of 14 Home and Community Care Support Services organizations in Ontario with a focused mandate to deliver local health care services such as home and community care and long-term care home placement. These organizations were previously known as Local Health Integration Networks (or "LHINs") at a time when they also led local health care planning and funding, and those functions are now part of Ontario Health. Home and Community Care Support Services South East is dedicated to ensuring the ongoing delivery of local services while Ontario makes changes to improve the health care system to give patients better-connected care with health care providers working as one coordinated team in Ontario Health Teams. The south east region extends from Brighton on the west, to Prescott and Cardinal on the east, north to Perth and Smiths Falls, and back to Bancroft. The boundaries are for funding and planning purposes only. Residents of the Home and Community Care Support Services South East can seek health care services wherever they prefer, inside or outside these boundaries. As a Support Assistant at Home and Community Care Support Services you will provide administrative support to the Management team and help to balance competing and constantly changing priorities in their daily activities. What will you do? - Assist Managers in organizing work, schedules, and administrative routines by making appointments, alerting of upcoming events or deadlines, locating information and facilitating communication; - Co-ordinate and track workflow, schedules, projects, and committee decisions through the organization to ensure paperwork is complete and accurate and ensures follow-up services are provided in a timely manner; - Responsible for specific delegated projects under the direction of the Manager; - Prepare reports, documents, spreadsheets, slides and other documentation and correspondence required for the day-to-day client services business activities; - Develop and processes statistical reports; - Organize and support all aspects of meetings and conferences independently; - Actively look for ways to assist managers and the team in meeting customer’s needs; - Establish and maintain an appropriate filing system for records maintained by the Manager; What must you have? - Post-secondary diploma in administrative studies is preferred; - Minimum two years’ experience in an administrative support position; - Excellent computer skills - Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio; - Ability to compose correspondence and create reports that are concise, accurate and grammatically sound; - Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work effectively, accurately, independently with mínimal supervision and take initiative within the job scope; - Excellent demonstrated written and oral proficiency is essential; - Excellent organizational and communication skills; - Ability to work in and respond to a dynamic and changing environment and priorities; - Ability to independently organize meetings for internal and external customers and experience with minute taking; - Able to assist in organizing managers’ calendars and in preparing managers for - meetings; - Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to meet competing deadlines; - Ability to work effectively independently, and as a member of a team; - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a discreet and professional manner; - We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy.
