Job Description Reporting to the Senior Planning Manager, the primary role of the Senior Demand Planner is to oversee the sales forecasting process that guides the planning of production and distribution of our finished products, as well as the purchasing of our raw materials and consumables. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate closely with the management team, sales, customer service, finance and marketing departments. This role will involve managing a sales and operations plan (S&OP) in collaboration with the heads of the above departments. In addition, this role will require assistance in the implementation of a new ERP system. The ideal candidate will have experience with MRP/ERP systems and a sound knowledge of forecasting, planning and supply chain processes. A day in the life: Your day begins with an excellent opportunity to interact with your colleagues near the coffee machine. Once the chat is over, depending on your priorities, you focus on reviewing forecast adjustments and key metrics, especially forecast accuracy. You spend the morning analyzing data such as sales and inventory levels to refine forecasts and identify trends or sales behaviors that may differ from those predicted. With all the information you have found, you collaborate with members of the sales and planning teams to gather and share insights that will help build even more accurate forecasts. Then, taking into account the information provided by the planning team, you develop a strategy to include certain factors to consider for items in specific locations and update the data. The day ends with documenting useful information and preparing data or reports that will set the stage for a successful start to your next workday. Responsibilities: Develop 12-month forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation using a variety of statistical methods, including regression, time series, etc. ; Weekly data analysis and cleansing to identify and record anomalies, special events and other variables to be taken into account when finalizing forecasts; Collaborate with sales managers to gather information such as product trends, warehouse stocking strategies, competitor analysis and any other information relevant to sales forecasts; Maintain the monthly Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP) with other company leaders and executives to align sales objectives, establish sales strategies and identify external variables that will impact forecasts; Analyze variances between actual sales and forecasts (forecast accuracy) to understand the variables affecting demand and to be able to explain them at monthly S&OP meetings; Assist in the establishment of minimum-maximum inventory, inventory turns, service level and overstock targets to meet corporate standards in all Techo-Bloc distribution centers & establish a production capacity plan, including production hours and product mix by plant; Identify and help resolve conflicts related to supply, demand and capacity availability propose product life cycles, such as forecasts for new products and identification of products that should be discontinued. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, statistics or related field; Minimum 4 years' experience in demand planning and analysis; Knowledge of statistics and forecasting  Experience with R, Python and VDA (an asset); Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-search, cubes, graphs, etc.); Experience with MRP/ERP systems; APICS - CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) is an asset; Excellent attention to detail and commitment to deadlines; Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English (English is necessary to serve our customers in the USA).
